Ziggy Marley and his family were recently in Jamaica, and during their visit they provided some much needed love and support to the people of Trench Town and Arnett Gardens in Kingston! In both neighborhoods, they handed out large trucks-worth of grocery bags filled with food and hygiene supplies to hundreds and hundreds of community members.
While in Trench Town, they also stopped by the Eira Shrader Golden Age Home for seniors, spent some time with the residents, and donated cleaning supplies for the facilities.
Although much of the work U.R.G.E. does throughout the world is handled remotely via donations and by setting up projects with local or traveling institutions, it’s such a blessing when we we’re able to be on the ground, with the people, seeing the impact we’ve made and the effect it has on the community. To help us do more great works like this, be sure to visit our Get Involved page and make a donation to the cause. Or, come see Ziggy live, where $1 from every ticket sold (where possible) goes directly to U.R.G.E.
